White Breasted Nuthatch This is a neat little bird that is fairly common in the area. They are one of the only birds that can actually walk down a tree in search of bugs to eat. They like the bird feeders, too! This one was taken by Steve over by # 5.

Female Downy Woodpecker These are fairly common in the area, and are closely related to the Hairy Woodpecker, but the black bars on the white tail feathers seem to indicate a downy vs. a hairy. The lack of red crown patch also indicates this one is a female instead of a male.
