His Place currently has 12 units. Each unit is a full housekeeping unit with linens, dishes,
range, refrigerator, cookware, TV, VCR, toaster and coffee maker. We
have free movies in the Tackle shop, and Dish Network Satellite in all rooms. Because we are open all
year, all units have good heating and air conditioning.
All of our units are immaculately clean.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,10, 11 & 12 are located on the river. Units 8 & 9,
are set back from the river approximately 75 yards, along our Spring Creek, and are more private.
We also have a river side covered pavilion
and a new observation deck that are both excellent places for cookouts, meetings, card
playing and evening camp fires. The covered pavilion has an outdoor wood-burning stove with blower fans to warm you up while you sit outside and watch the birds in the winter!
Units 1, 2, 3, and 4
Units 1, 2, and 3 each have two twin beds, and one bath. Unit 4 has one full bed and
one bath. Units 2,3,4 can have one roll away added for a third person, Unit 1 has a
maximum occupancy of 2 persons. These units were fully remodeled and have beautiful
pine walls, linoleum in kitchen & bathrooms, barbecue grills outside, new appliances
and remodeled bathrooms. Units 1- 4 are in a four-plex right on the
river. Between this four-plex and Unit 5 is the covered pavilion,
overlooking the river. We also have barbecue grills, benches and
bird feeders setup outside these units.
Units 5 and 6 each
sleep up to five persons. Each has two double beds & one bath. Both can hold 1 additional roll away bed for
an additional person. Unit 6 had the main living area and kitchen remodeled, and has new appliances. Unit 5 has new linoleum, bathroom & kitchen remodeling. Unit 5 has some pine walls (similar to the picture of Unit 1
above) Units 5 and 6 are about 75% larger than
units 1-4, have outdoor barbecue grills, and are also located next
to the covered pavilion. Units 5, 6 & 7 are part of a tri-plex on
the river. 5 & 6 have great river views from the dining room /
kitchen areas!
Unit 8 can hold a maximum of 6 people. It has a queen bed
in the first bedroom, two twin beds in the second bedroom, 2 futons in the living room,
one bath and a large kitchen/dining area. Unit 8 is a stand alone
unit, located on the natural Spring creek running through the property and surrounded by beautiful
trees. #8 also has a deck off the front door, and a barbecue grill where you can sit and enjoy the scenery
with family and friends.
Unit 9 can hold a max of 5 people. #9 is also by the
Spring creek and has a similarly lovely setting. It is a stand alone, two bedroom unit with 2
twin beds in the first bedroom, 1 full bed in the second bedroom, 1 futon and one
bath.
It has a combined living/dining area, is nicely decorated, and has a small
deck outside the front door and a barbecue grill.
Unit 10 (the Lone Star
Lodge) can hold a max of 4 people.
(Julie's personal favorite!) #10 is a stand alone
unit, one bedroom with
a queen bed, 2 futons, kitchen/dining area, and living room. As you can see from the
picture, #10 has a spectacular view of the river The outside is a very attractive split log (log cabin
style) which blends well with the surroundings. It also has a beautiful deck off the
front door overlooking the river, and a fireplace. Outside, there is also a barbecue grill. A great cabin for a romantic getaway, as it is furthest
away from the office and other cabins...

This 3 bedroom, 2 bath unit
is on what used to be the RV site, for those of you familiar with the resort
layout.
It has a large garden tub, separate walk in shower and
walk-in closet in the master bedroom, with a king size and a single
bed. (King size bed can be pulled apart into two twin beds if
desired.) It has a spacious kitchen area with a large dining table,
extra seating area at the bar, center island for additional counter space,
full size fridge/freezer, and a dishwasher.
The living room has a gas log fireplace,
queen size sleeper sofa, full size futon sleeper sofa, and satellite
TV. The second bedroom has a twin bed, a bunk bed set, and its own
closet. The third bedroom has a full bed, a bunk bed set, and its own
closet. The second bathroom has a shower / tub and is located by these
bedrooms and the back door. (There is a 150 lb. weight limit on the top 2
bunk beds, and 200 lb. weight limit on the bottom bunks.)
Just outside the front door is a private,
covered 10 x 30 deck with a picnic table, bench seating, charcoal grill and
Hibachi type firepit. This unit is right on the riverbank and has a
great view -- there's also wade in access right by this site.

This 3 bedroom, 2 bath unit
is right on the river front, with its own covered private deck.
This unit is for those who want a few
more of the creature comforts... The view is beautiful off its deck,
which overlooks the river.
It has a new Toshiba 56 inch Cinemawide
big screen HDTV in the living room, with ALL Dish Network Satellite channels
AND Pay-Per-View Channels available. Couple that with a surround sound
system and you can relax in style after a hard day of fishing!
You'll enjoy watching your favorite
movies, or just sitting around visiting, lounging in the large couch, or
either of the two sofa size double recliners with drink holders. If
necessary, the living room couch will fold out into a queen size bed, too.
For eating dinner or sitting around just
playing cards, there is a large, beautiful parquet dining room table
with overstuffed high-back chairs that easily seats 8, but has room for 10.
The fully stocked kitchen is large with
plenty of counter space, and has a dishwasher. This unit also has a
washer and dryer, ironing board & iron.
The master bedroom has a 32 inch big
screen TV with the same satellite programming as the one in the living room,
with the exception of High Def Channels. Kick back in the king size bed, or take a hot bath in the
large garden tub to end your evening. The master bath has a double
sink and shower, too.
Sit in the office on collector's edition
Harley-Davidson leather furniture with a V-Twin glass & chrome coffee
table, or at the cherry desk and tie some flies.
The other two bedrooms each have one
queen size bed, and one single bed, and are located one the other side of
the unit, near the 2nd full bath, which has a tub/shower. All bedrooms
have a walk-in closet.
On the covered deck, there is a ceramic
Chiminea type fireplace and picnic table.
There is also a covered car port out
front, with parking for up to 3 vehicles.
This unit will comfortably hold 10
people, or 4 couples.
(A special note: For various
reasons, this unit is set up to accommodate a group of adults, as opposed to
children or teens. If you will be bringing children under 18, please
talk to us about this when making your reservation. For example, we
can block satellite channels based on your preferences prior to
arrival. Also, with the HDTV and stereo systems within reach, leather
furniture, etc., this unit is not suitable for younger children.)
Campsites
We have 4 campsites total. Three campsites (#1 - #3) are available with or without electricity, and are located between Units #8 and #9, on
the other side of the Spring creek, a beautiful, shaded spot for camping, located conveniently close to the shower house.
These sites are approximately 75 yards from the river.
Our fourth campsite (#5 - long story... :-)) is at the end of the property, right on the
river.
This campsite does not have electricity, but has a wonderful view of the river, wade in
access right by the site, also has lots of shade, and is the most secluded.
Unit 7 (the Dorm) is
our large single room unit which can sleep up to 8 people. It is the
entire lower floor of the tri-plex that includes units 5, 6 & 7. #7 has
6 twin beds, 1 futon, 1 roll away bed, 1 bath, 1 large & 1 small kitchen table. #7 has new appliances, kitchen
cabinets, countertops, shower and tile in bathroom, beds, insulated acoustical ceiling
tile, new light fixtures, plumbing & high capacity hot water heater. There is a
barbecue grill just outside the sliding glass door on the lighted cement patio with a
picnic table. #7 is a great economical rental for larger groups and families, with
a nice view of the river from its patio.
